What is Life Chain?

The Life Chain is an annual event held on the first Sunday of October. It is a peaceful gathering where individuals of all ages and backgrounds come together to advocate for the sanctity of human life. Participants line the streets, holding signs that promote the protection of unborn children and raise awareness about the devastating effects of abortion. This event allows the community to join forces and express their support for the pro-life movement. Families, friends, and organizations unite in solidarity, highlighting the importance of cherishing every life, from conception to natural death. The Life Chain serves as a powerful reminder that every individual deserves respect and protection, regardless of their stage of development. It is a day of reflection, prayer, and unified action, working towards a society that embraces the sanctity of life.

Purpose of LIFE CHAIN OF BALDWIN COUNTY

The Life Chain OF Baldwin County will provide a visual statement of solidarity by our local Christian community that abortion is grievously wrong and that the church Christ founded is opposed to the unmerciful killing of preborn children.

Please visualize 1,000 or more Baldwin County area Christians standing 25 feet apart on both sides of Highway 59 for a distance of 2-3 miles while holding 17” x 22” signs that read Abortion Kills Children, Jesus Forgives and Heals, Adoption: the Loving Option, Lord Forgive Us and Our Nation, Abortion Hurts Women, and Life: The First Inalienable Right.

Our prayerful witness is scheduled for one hour, 2:00-3:00 PM, on Sunday, October 6, 2024, and we regard it as an extension of regular worship on the Lord’s Day.

An estimated 620,000+ babies are killed annually by abortionists, and a powerful LIFE CHAIN on October 6, 2024, will offer strong encouragement and hope for reducing that number.
